Paris finally realized that people weren’t impressed with her “in -and-out-of-jail” drama.
So the blonde heiress issused this statement…

“Today I told my attorneys not to appeal the judge’s decision. While I greatly appreciate the Sheriff’s concern for my health and welfare, after meeting with doctors I intend to serve my time as ordered by the judge.
This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. During the past several days, I have had a lot of time to reflect and have already learned a bitter, but important lesson from this experience.
As I have said before, I hope others will learn from my mistake. I have also had time to read the mail from my fans. I very much appreciate all of their good wishes and hope they will keep their letters coming.
I must also say that I was shocked to see all of the attention devoted to the amount of time I would spend in jail for what I had done by the media, public and city officials. I would hope going forward that the public and the media will focus on more important things, like the men and women serving our country in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places around the world.”
Paris Hilton has been ORDERED to go back to jail! It is reported that Paris was taken out of the courtroom in tears and screaming, “It’s not riiiigggghhhhtttt,” followed by, “Mom, Mom, Mom.”
Paris is now sentenced to a full 45 days in jail decided by Judge Sauer.
Paris Hilton is out of jail after serving just 5 days out of her 23 days sentence.

LA County Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore says that Paris Hilton has been fitted for an ankle bracelet and put under house arrest for the next 40 days, after authorities decided to release Paris from jail due to medical reasons. She got out of jail just after 2:00 AM.
Whitmore says he cannot release details about Paris’ “medical issue” due to confidentiality, but said that medical officials “constantly examined” her while she was in jail.
Paris will be under house confinement in her West Hollywood home for 40 days. After the 40 days are up, Whitmore says she will have “fulfilled her debt to society.”
Whitmore made it clear that Paris was not released early — she was reassigned. She is technically still in custody.
Ah, “technically still in custody”… at home with her big screen tv, in her mansion, with her servants, chefs and hairstylist…. really, she is TRULY paying the price for what she did! *rolls eyes*
Hmmm medical condition. I guess they found out that Paris’ herpes are worse than they thought. Seriously, it probably spread throughout her 5 days in jail. All the guards should get checked immediately!
So which is which? According to TMZ.com, they had received two mugshots of Paris Hilton, though only one was supposed to see the light of day.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials tell TMZ that the first mugshot they released (right), the one in which you are unable to see Paris’ white jumper, was taken moments after her September 7 DUI arrest and was “inadvertently released” by officials this morning. The photo was never supposed to be released.

Paris Hilton is finally in jail! She was taken in last night from her family’s home to the jail and still managed to strike a pose for the mugshot. That’s hot!

It didn’t go down at the jail. Paris’ mega-lawyer, Richard Hutton, picked her up at her parents’ house at 10:30 PM. Hilton, Hutton, mom Kathy and sister Nicky then drove to the Men’s Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles — commonly referred to as the Twin Towers — where Paris officially surrendered to the L.A. County Sheriff to begin her 23-day sentence.
The Sheriff devised the plan of surrendering miles away from the actual site where Paris will be doing time because the crush of paparazzi at the jail created a potential safety hazard.
Paris was then driven to the jail in Lynwood, where she is now serving her sentence.
Paris’ lawyer then released this statement from the locked up celebutante to TMZ:
Paris’ lawyer just released a statement to TMZ from Hilton: “I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation. During the past few weeks, I have had a lot of time to think and have come to realize I made some mistakes.”
Hilton added, “This is an important point in my life and I need to take responsibility for my actions. In the future, I plan on taking more of an active role in the decisions I make. I want to thank my family, friends and fans for their continued support. Although I am scared, I am ready to begin my jail sentence.”
